Anthony Consorte sent me in these pictures of his Katana, except that as the eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted it's actually an 1100E, but who's splitting hairs - with performance like this certainly not me. Anthony hasn't had the bike near a Dyno, unfortunately, but estimates the power at around the 180bhp mark and 300bhp when the NOS kicks in. As the 650lbs bike and rider combination has managed a best pass of 8.41 @ 168 this is certainly a believable figure.
Although the bike is configured for the track it is registered, insured & inspected and is on occasion seen on the streets. F**k me, 0-170mph in just over 8 seconds on a street bike, it'd be rude not to go looking for the local Ferrari crowd...
